Shop Policies

  • You can make payments towards your guitar at any point via PayPal, Venmo, Cash, Check, or the invoice that was sent to you with a major credit card processed through Stripe.

*ALL balances must be fulfilled at least 30 days prior to completion and paid by the projected invoice due date. No guitar will be released until all balances and/or shipping costs have been satisfied. You will be notified when your guitar is close to completion, so you can pay off your remaining balance shipping expenses, etc. if you have not already done so.

After 30 days of the guitar not being paid off, any payments made will be forfeited.

Due to the nature of building guitars to your specifications, there will be NO refunds given for any reason.

Our estimated production lead-time is approximately 52 weeks.

  • Any new custom orders as of 2024 will require a 25% non-refundable deposit, payable through a Paypal invoice. Payments toward your balance will be due monthly, regardless of build status. Payments made more than 10 days after your monthly due date will be subject to a 10% late fee (10% of your monthly payment amount, not 10% of your total invoice). 10 days after a third consecutive missed monthly payment, we reserve the right to cancel your build, and any prior payments will be forfeit and NOT subject to refund.

While these new terms may seem more strict than what we’ve allowed in the past, far too many customers have taken advantage of how loose our invoicing was set up previously, making it extremely difficult for us to predict accurate lead times and plan financially. These new terms will enable us to speed up production and continue to expand in a healthier way than before.

ALL balances must be fulfilled by the projected invoice due date, regardless of build status. No guitar will be released until all balances and/or shipping costs have been satisfied. After 60 days of the guitar not being paid off after its completion (including any accrued late fees), any payments made will be forfeited.

Due to the nature of building custom guitars to your specifications, there will be NO refunds given for any reason on custom orders.

Our lead-times range from 4-5 months for Standard and Deluxe models, to 8-9 months for Custom models in 2024.

  • We do offer shipping internationally for stock and custom orders, but need to get individual shipping quotes for each order.

Please contact us prior to ordering so we can arrange accurate shipping and import fees.

  • We do not offer any free guitars or endorsement deals.

If you are a professional musician and want a sponsorship deal, contact us and let’s talk about a mutually-beneficial arrangement. While we cannot afford to pay out of pocket to outfit you with a killer axe, we may be able to come to an agreement that works for both of us!

  • After 14 days from your order being placed NO changes may be made to the order.

Being a one-man shop, some orders may take longer than the estimated lead time. In the past, this has been due to irregular payments on outstanding invoices, supply chain issues, vendor delays, etc.

Please be patient, as we always value quality over rushing an order out the door! Our number one priority is to provide you the best possible instrument we can.

Bodies, necks, components, pickups, art, programming, etc. are in production at various stages after your deposit is initially made. Due to the nature of custom builds, NO refunds are offered on custom orders.

ALL balances must be fulfilled by the projected invoice due date, regardless of build status. No guitar will be released until all balances and/or shipping costs have been satisfied. After 60 days of the guitar not being paid off after its completion (including any accrued late fees), any payments made will be forfeited.

RETURN POLICY / TRIAL PERIOD

Due to the constraints of the size and location of my shop (and the on-going SARS pandemic), I do not accept any visitors to try out guitars here before they buy or order them. I am actively seeking out more retail stores to carry my guitars to help alleviate this downside, and will be actively updating my list of official Moon dealers on the DEALERS page of the website.

Additionally, all Standard/Deluxe models and In-Stock purchases are eligible for a 10 business day trial period. The only way to truly appreciate the quality of a Moon Guitars instrument is to put it to the test through your own gear, and see what the hype is really all about. Your trial period starts when the instrument is DELIVERED to you (not when it ships). If you are unsatisfied for any reason, you may return it for a prompt refund or exchange - you would only be responsible for the shipping fees.

*Trial periods are only eligible on Standard/Deluxe models and already-completed instruments purchased through my website, and do not apply to Custom orders. Due to the nature of custom work, there are no refunds or returns accepted on Custom orders. I will always do whatever I can to address any issues or concerns you may have if you are unsatisfied with a custom order, within reason. I pride myself on quality and put a lot of time and energy into every instrument I create, and I want you to be inspired to make more music with your instruments!
